These pictures were captured at Leeds Castle on Tuesday 12th August.

The Gyr Falcon is the largest of the falcon family

I have not seen the display at Leeds Castle, nor have I seen such a pale example but – the bird is in my view a Ferruginous Hawk
(Buteo regalis) Even so – beautiful pictures.

Although this species share similarities to a Ferruginous Hawk, it is undoubtedly a pale phase Augar Buzzard (buteo augar)
